LeAnna joins us with four years of direct legal experience, most recently with BP Oil & Gas, marked by her enthusiasm and a proven track record of blending coordination, planning, and client support. Her tenure as the Owner of Upshaw Paralegal Services, LLC in Houston, TX, underscores her capability in drafting legal documents, preparing discovery responses, and providing essential notary services among other duties. This experience, coupled with her roles across various legal settings including data privacy at bp North America, corporate assistance at DNOW, LP, and mass tort legal assistance at D. Miller & Associates, showcases her versatility and adaptability in handling diverse legal tasks.

Her education from the Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Houston, TX, where she was awarded an AAS Degree Paralegal Program and a Paralegal Certificate, provides a strong foundation for her work. LeAnna’s skills in Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, and proficiency in MR8 Software and Synergy, along with her organizational and time management skills, position her as a valuable asset to our team and clients.

LeAnna’s wide-ranging experience in legal administration, from managing litigation processes for large class-action lawsuits to providing administrative support in mass tort and corporate legal settings, equips her with the knowledge and skills to effectively support case management and document preparation. Her background in legal research, drafting, and transcription will be particularly beneficial to our attorney clients in enhancing their office effectiveness and case preparation.

For our pro se litigant clients, LeAnna’s experience in assisting with filing various legal forms, gathering evidence in family law cases, and drafting protective orders and custody modifications will provide invaluable guidance and support, helping to navigate the complexities of the legal system with greater ease and confidence.
